Med/Surg Tele RN - Night/Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position includes rotating shifts of three 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) and three 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will work as a Med/Surg Tele RN at a main campus hospital. The position involves providing care that may include managing patients on ventilators and potentially floating to other units while caring for the same patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing.
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required, with travel experience acceptable.
• Must possess a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required at the time of submission.
• Reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty is required for submission.
