Multispecialty Ultrasound Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM). On-call required from 5 PM to 8 AM Monday through Friday and 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Description

The Multispecialty Ultrasound Technician plays a vital role in performing various ultrasound examinations, including general, fetal, obstetric, breast, transvaginal, vascular, and echocardiogram studies. The technician is responsible for carrying out detailed imaging tasks, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations.
• Utilize knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation effectively.
• Provide high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the charting system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum one year of experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Active license as required by the state.
• Current certifications in BLS and ARDMS or ARDMS VT or CCI or RDCSS.
• Experience with echocardiograms, and stress treadmill testing is essential.
• Ability to perform various ultrasound techniques: general, fetal, OB, breast, transvaginal, and vascular.
