Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering comprehensive and quality patient care to patients of all ages. As a telemetry RN, the nurse will incorporate specific educational requirements and competencies related to cardiac patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
• Be prepared to float to Med-Surg as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of Telemetry or Stepdown nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.

Patient Ratio and Unit Information

• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.
• 30 beds in the telemetry unit.
• Scrub color: Navy blue.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner.
