Schedule

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8-hour days. Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties required.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced surgical environment, providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the operating room setting.
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Recognize and address safety issues for patients and self.
• Utilize lifting techniques to move patients safely.
• Function effectively in high-stress situations, utilizing problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain clinical equipment and instrumentation for a safe surgical environment.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias to assist in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Preferred experience in preceptorship, charge, and leadership roles.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
