Emergency Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

3x12-Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00) with rotating weekend coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to join our Level 2 Trauma Center team. The position involves providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. The emergency department is busy, accommodating an average of 220 patients daily across 54 beds.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for patients experiencing emergencies.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures including BiPAP/CPAP management and central line care.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and assess patients effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required (pending certifications accepted).
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Travel experience in emergency nursing is required.
• Candidates must comply with all vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
