Job Description

The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring the assessment, planning, and evaluation of all patient needs. This role involves direct interaction with patients and families, advocating for their needs and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report critical patient data to physicians in a timely manner.
• Assess lab and diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.
• Document physical assessment findings and identify abnormalities.
• Develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform interventions based on patient needs and hospital policies.
• Evaluate patient outcomes against established goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines in patient interactions.
• Maintain professionalism in all communications with patients, families, and staff.
• Float to various units as needed, including ICU, CCU, and ED.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice in New York State.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Recent experience in the Emergency Department and critical care settings.
• NIHSS Certification and Moderate Sedation Certification required.
• Current TNCC certification.
