3X12-hour shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with flexible hours and days based on unit needs.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of the Sterile Processing Department. This role includes ensuring the safety, compliance, and timely reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical devices. The manager will lead daily operations, staffing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to relevant regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all SPD operations including decontamination, sterilization, case cart management, and distribution.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of qualified staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing coaching as necessary.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives and oversee sterilization records and documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with clinical departments and supply chain to ensure case readiness and instrument availability.
• Address service concerns and participate in interdisciplinary meetings related to instrumentation and workflow.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety regulations within the department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of five (5) years of sterile processing experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• National certifications such as CBSPD and/or CRCST are required.
• Familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems preferred.
