ICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Requires 3, 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a 29-bed ICU at a Level 2 trauma center, specializing in critical care with an average of 12 years of experience among the staff. You will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients in an ICU environment, ensuring a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU).
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and ABG interpretation.
• Conduct procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and bedside tracheostomy and PEG tube placements.
• Utilize advanced equipment including Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, and Cardiohelp ECMO.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in the state of practice.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; TNCC, NIH, and ABLS are welcomed.
• Advanced skills in vent management and hemodynamic monitoring are a must.
