ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care for critically ill patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role may involve rotating shifts or straight night assignments. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive patient assessments, implementation of nursing care plans, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for patients on advanced life support systems.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals in patient care planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and prevention strategies.
• Utilize electronic health records for documentation and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or Compact state required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
