Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour day shift from Monday to Friday. Times are flexible as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant will utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
• Effectively communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the healthcare team.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients and their families regarding physical disorders.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and conferences.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to APTA and State Required practice acts and code of conduct.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience is required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings is required.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• New graduates considered if they have Level II experience.
