Respiratory Therapist

Schedule

Night Shift: 1830 to 0700 am, three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). No guarantee of hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 15-week contract position.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support. Responsibilities include physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage ventilator support for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
• Consult with physicians regarding patient care and respiratory therapy interventions.
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary.
• Utilize computerized charting and medication management systems effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care; no first assignments.
