This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Nights - 12HR: 7P-7A. 36 and 48 hours per week available. Must work 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Holiday work is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Med/Tele unit, equipped with 43 beds. The ideal candidate should be prepared to offer care in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility based on the unit's needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a Cardiac Telemetry setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while maintaining accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans, medications, and health maintenance strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year recent experience in acute med-surg/tele nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
