Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming an individualized plan of care.
• Identify teaching needs related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on direct patient care and education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, promoting teamwork and effective use of time.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs such as supplies and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested, after completing the orientation period.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position typically requires a night shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.
