Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the Select Medical Way and Core Values of the organization. Safety for patients and employees is the utmost priority, contributing to superior quality care and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop personalized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Ensure effective communication and continuity of care among all healthcare providers.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring proper delegation and problem-solving.
• Maintain safety standards and provide a secure environment for patients and staff.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and participate in team-building activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed and manage supplies effectively.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.
