Nursing Assistant - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to organizational values and guidelines to deliver quality care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-focused environment adhering to standards for patient handling, infectious diseases, and workplace hazards.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections in accordance with prescribed diets and preferences.
• Prepare, deliver, and retrieve patient menus while verifying diet changes through the menu management system.
• Communicate effectively any patient care and food service issues to the respective departments.
• Perform clerical tasks in the Food & Nutrition office including answering phones, filing, and maintaining organization.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services to stay updated on practices.
• Assist with food service activities as needed, including tray line assistance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required in specific locations).

Schedule

This position requires working a night shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
