Schedule

Shift: 6:45AM - 7:15PM. Every other weekend required, no call, assist with holidays.

Job Description

The Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit focuses on receiving admitted patients from the Emergency Department, completing admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. This environment emphasizes ED decompression and enhanced throughput, constantly refining processes to reduce length of stay while enhancing patient and family experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a varied patient population.
• Complete admission assessments and medication reconciliations.
• Initiate and manage acute care orders effectively.
• Work collaboratively within a team to ensure patient safety and care.
• Float to other units as needed based on skill set.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) level experience preferred.
• Must possess positive attitude and focus on teamwork.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider is appreciated.
