Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Surgical Unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality post-operative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and recovery while working efficiently within a team. This role requires excellent time management and collaborative skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on short length of stay.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites
• Wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
• Foley catheter care and continuous bladder irrigation
• Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
• Insertion and suction of nasogastric tubes
• Administration of total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
• Blood administration and central line care
• Participate in bedside shift report

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Strong background in post-operative surgical areas preferred, including vascular, bariatric, urology, colorectal, and general surgery
