Echocardiography Sonographer

Schedule

Either Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM or Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Echocardiography Sonographer to join our premier cardiac center. The successful candidate will be focused on patient comfort and satisfaction, explaining procedures in easy-to-understand terms, and performing high-quality ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
• Explain procedures clearly and relieve pre-testing anxiety.
• Perform adult echocardiogram studies per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
• Set up equipment and administer procedures timely.
• Review prior reports and images, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
• Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
• Manage inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Several years of dedicated echocardiography experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• A minimum of 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or CCI).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Knowledge of contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to critical findings.
