Professional Staff Nurse - Day Shift

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a crucial member of the care delivery team, responsible for setting the standards for care quality. This role encompasses leadership, collaboration, and the management of patient care activities for assigned patients and their families, utilizing independent judgment and strong communication with all members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Actively participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for enhancing patient satisfaction.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practices to inform clinical care and engage in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care, considering holistic patient needs.
• Communicate effectively to articulate patient conditions and advocate for necessary changes in care.
• Create caring and compassionate experiences for patients and strengthen relationships with families and colleagues.
• Teach patients, families, and staff, fostering open dialogue and continuous professional development.
• Maintain productive working relationships within the team and demonstrate accountability for nursing actions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Compliance with state-specific Acts: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.

Schedule

This position offers a Day Shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts for 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
