Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, adhering to professional standards and compliance guidelines set forth by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients using clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Participate in the student program by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing evaluations.
• Create an individualized professional development plan in collaboration with clinical management.
• Provide patient and employee safety, adhering to infection control policies and safe patient handling practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active state licensure for practicing physical therapy.

Schedule

This is a 5x8.0 schedule with guaranteed hours.
