Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, all while embracing the core values of the organization, including patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis, collaborating with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education and achieving quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education on the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following policies and safety guidelines.
• Participate in team-building activities to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities as required and engage in professional development opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

Schedule

This position requires a Night Shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts.
