Physical Therapist

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction. This role involves overseeing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote effective returns to community activities. The Physical Therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while also performing various professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services. Adherence to the organization's mission and core values, particularly regarding patient and employee safety, is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on discharge goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including timely equipment trialing and patient/family training.
• Effectively manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions according to patient care needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, providing a supportive learning environment and completing student evaluations.
• Actively pursue professional development and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Contribute to patient and professional advocacy efforts within the community.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and professional code of conduct.
• Engage in quality improvement methodologies to enhance services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or neuro setting preferred.

Schedule

This is a Day shift position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
