Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner per state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs by providing a positive learning environment and supervision.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and implement organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a standard shift of 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
