Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. The therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while adhering to organizational codes of conduct and promoting patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in a student program, providing supervision and evaluations.
• Create and actively pursue a professional development plan.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and contribute to the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid state licensure for practicing physical therapy.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8 hour shift format, starting with an evaluation and treatment time allocation of 60 minutes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
