Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient Neuro Setting

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. This position is focused in an outpatient neuro setting, with a preference for candidates who have experience in this area or have completed relevant clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and uphold expectations of compliance with the organizational Code of Conduct, ensuring confidentiality regarding patient and company information.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including ordering necessary equipment and training patients and families.
  • Manage caseload flexibly, ensuring effective communication and progression of care throughout the patient's length of stay.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records, conforming to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in student training programs, providing a positive learning environment and proper supervision.
  • Engage in self-directed professional development and advocacy efforts.
  • Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing while fulfilling continuing education requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
  • BLS Certification.
  • One or more years of clinical experience required.
  • FEES Certification preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule with shifts starting as soon as possible.
