Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. This position involves providing rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will utilize evidence-based practices to assess and adjust treatments, effectively communicate with patients and team members, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide skilled treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments.
• Document treatment outcomes and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic documentation system.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients and their families regarding physical disorders.
• Participate in required meetings and facility trainings.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule of 8-hour days from Monday to Friday. Consistent time slots must be communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation is required.
• Active PTA license is required.
• New graduates will be considered if they have completed Level II clinical experiences.
