Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant who will provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders. The role requires adherence to regulatory and clinical practice requirements while working under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in required meetings and facility trainings, in-services, and conferences.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients and their families regarding physical disorders.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings is required.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license is mandatory.
