Mammography Technologist

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of Mammography exams for patients, applying principles, theories, and techniques of Mammography imaging to provide reliable imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mammography exams and assist in diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize principles and techniques of Mammography for high-quality imaging.
• Maintain confidentiality and operate in compliance with medical standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Exhibit independent thinking and adhere to punctuality and attendance standards.

Schedule

This position involves a varied 8-hour day shift, requiring 40 hours per week of work.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program [REQUIRED]
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and Mammography modalities [REQUIRED]
• Current Oregon license [REQUIRED]
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [REQUIRED]
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• One year of previous experience in Mammography [REQUIRED]
• Experience in stereo biopsy preferred [PREFERRED]
