Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

Nights, 12-hour shifts, dependent on schedule needs; either days (0700-1930) or nights (1900-0730).

Job Description

This position is within an LDRP unit that manages OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery. The role does not involve circulating or scrubbing in the OR. The RN will utilize OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records, with prior experience in these systems highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients using the nursing process as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Educate patients, their significant others, and support persons regarding care and procedures.
• Document all patient care activities in the medical record accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and enhance overall patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring credentials [REQUIRED].
• BLS (AHA) certification [REQUIRED].
• NRP certification [REQUIRED].
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
• EFM and STABLE certifications [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
• Willingness to obtain Oregon state nursing license if not currently active [NICE TO HAVE].
