Schedule
This position is for a 36-hour guaranteed workweek with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in this Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit will provide comprehensive care for patients through various stages including outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. The nurse will utilize OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records. This position does not require circulating or scrubbing in the OR.
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to ensure patient care according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope of practice.
- Educate patients, significant others, and support persons about care practices and procedures.
- Document all patient care accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Current fetal heart monitoring certification [REQUIRED].
- BLS certification from AHA [REQUIRED].
- NRP certification [REQUIRED].
- Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
- EFM and STABLE certifications [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
