Emergency Room Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Nurse will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in the emergency department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to function independently under general guidance, maintain emotional stability in emergency settings, and demonstrate critical thinking skills while adhering to established protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
• Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving skills.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years recent emergency room experience is required.
• ED Triage/Cardiac Room experience preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• ENPC and CEN certifications preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts RN License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required.
