Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to facilitate the development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. The role involves planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy to support patient recovery. This position requires flexibility to float to other units and take charge shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Provide therapy sessions that are designed to improve patient’s physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Schedule

This position is full-time, with a scheduled shift of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, guaranteed for 40 hours per week.

Brattleboro, Vermont

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience, preferably in behavioral health (experience must be within the last 3 months).
• Licensure by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Active Vermont or Compact occupational therapy license.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment.
• Must be able to provide an OT skills checklist from within the last year.
• Experience with diverse patient populations is required.
