Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist performs assessments of patient respiratory status, provides respiratory treatments, evaluates patient responses to the effectiveness of care delivered, and educates patients regarding respiratory treatments, health, and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patient respiratory status
• Providing respiratory treatments
• Evaluating patient responses to treatments
• Patient education on respiratory care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute hospital setting
• Some experience with infants and pediatrics
• PALS certification required
• NRP, BLS (AHA), NBRC, and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• State licensure for Oregon
