Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours guaranteed

Job Description

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, responsible for managing obstetric triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. The nurse will not be required to circulate or scrub in the operating room. The role involves using OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process within the RN scope of practice to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients, their significant others, and support persons on care processes and health management.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery with current fetal heart monitoring is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• NRP certification is required.
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems is highly preferred.
• EFM and STABLE certifications are highly preferred.
• Oregon RN license is not required to be active at the time of submission but must be obtained.
