Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Days, 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee.

Job Description

Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the Registered Nurse will apply the nursing process to the care of patients, teach patients and significant others, document patient care in the medical record, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and administer medications.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively and efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department (required).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS (required).
• Oregon RN license (must be willing to obtain).
