Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Start times may vary.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support acute care patients within the hospital setting. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with treating physicians and staff to provide comprehensive therapy for a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological cases, orthopedics, and general debility.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and develop treatment plans for acute care patients.
• Implement therapy interventions to facilitate patient recovery and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Occupational Therapy specialty.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Georgia Occupational Therapist License.
• Familiarity with One Chart - Cerner electronic medical record system.
