Schedule

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a requirement to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population in a Level II Trauma Center setting. Focus will be on evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge processes for patients in both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and Acute Care units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Provide therapy interventions based on established protocols.
• Participate in team conferences and provide family training.
• Utilize adaptive devices and equipment to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Support patient care needs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Physical Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to work in an IRF unit with a focus on critical thinking and clinical reasoning.
• Hospital or IRF experience, particularly with stroke or neuro patients, is highly preferred.
