Shift: Days 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (required to float, no call requirements)

Job Description

Physical therapists (PTs) are licensed health care professionals responsible for helping patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility. They examine individuals and create treatment plans to promote movement, alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability. PTs also develop wellness-oriented programs to encourage healthier and more active lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize treatment techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients on exercises and health management strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Doctorate degree from an accredited program.
• Current TX licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• 1 year of inpatient rehab experience.
• 2 years of experience in physical therapy.
• EMR experience with MedHost is preferred.
• Must be submitted from a permanent home address and be over 50 miles from the facility.
• Solid color scrubs required.
