Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, performing administrative duties, and pursuing professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and create tailored treatment programs for patients.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and modify as necessary.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform administrative duties as required.
• Engage in professional growth and quality improvement initiatives.
• Cover the Skilled Nursing Unit, Acute & Rehab as needed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5/8's schedule, from Tuesday to Saturday, with shifts available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering some flexibility in hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Active Arizona Occupational Therapy License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Fingerprint Card as required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
