Inpatient Occupational Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled individuals, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, performing administrative duties, engaging in performance improvement activities, pursuing professional growth, and executing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify therapeutic interventions based on patient progress and needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning meetings.
• Complete necessary administrative and documentation tasks.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department.
• Support professional development and continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy licensure in Arizona.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient setting, showing ability to function independently.
