3x12, Nights. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36. Schedules may vary based on department needs and will include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Oncology Unit provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the care episode. This includes delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for oncology patients.
• Administer various chemotherapies/immunotherapies and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Document patient care and outcomes accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in Oncology.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS certification is required; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification preferred.
