Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The nurse is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over the entire episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Consider family involvement in the nursing process.
• Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment with a diverse patient population.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX) certifications are required.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam to identify and measure rhythm strips.
