4x10 schedule, rotating days-of-the-week, from 0630 to 1700.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides high-quality Nuclear Medicine data to interpreting physicians in accordance with departmental procedures and appropriate State and Federal regulations. This position involves working with patients across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The incumbent must demonstrate an understanding of specific patient needs, ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide Nuclear Medicine services to patients and ensure the acquisition of high-quality data for interpreting physicians.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing personnel regarding patient scheduling and exam orders.
• Utilize advanced scintillation cameras, computers, and support equipment required for Nuclear Medicine studies.
• Perform minor clerical duties and may be requested to work overtime or additional shifts as needed.
• Occasionally contact vendors to order radiopharmaceuticals or arrange for repairs in the absence of a supervisor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Valid AART or RCIS certification.
• Nevada State License (must have NV license in hand before start date).
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
