Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts of 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), including every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a 74-bed Emergency Department within a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing care for a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The RN will float as needed to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU) and will be responsible for administering care in high-acuity situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and emergency care to patients
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to critical situations
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Document patient information and care provided using the Epic charting system

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
• Current RN license in the state required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
