Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM (12 hour shifts)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric patients requiring critical care. This role involves monitoring and managing patients with severe medical conditions, while working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills to handle complex patient needs and demonstrate independence and self-motivation in their practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs and manage telemetry, coordinating with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as needed, including ART lines, central lines, and ventilator care.
• Participate in patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.
• Manage post-operative care for cardiac patients and assist during emergencies such as respiratory failure or stroke.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
• Current RN license and certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with telemetry and managing critical conditions such as COPD and CHF.
