CT Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Hours will primarily be mid-shift with a start time around 12:00 noon. Routine weekend shifts will be scheduled, and on-call availability is required. Shift lengths are 10 hours.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role requires proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT imaging of the head, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities. The Technologist will also perform biopsy and drainage procedures as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Demonstrate proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures.
• Assist in surgical/sterile procedures, studies with or without contrast media, and understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Operate CT systems and manage processing of images effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduated from an accredited AMA school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.
• At least 2 years of experience in CT imaging and prior travel experience is required.
