Cath Lab Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 Days (07:00 - 17:30) with on-call requirements of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend. Some Saturdays are required as part of the regular shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and assist in various interventional and diagnostic procedures in the Cath Lab. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, operating necessary equipment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure sterile environments during procedures.
• Assist in the management and monitoring of patients during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in patient care planning.
• Utilize a variety of medical devices and technology related to cardiology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technician.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS.
• Experience in diagnostic cardiac Cath and interventional procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant equipment, including Philips X-Ray Systems and a variety of atherectomy and thrombectomy devices.
• Ability to float to Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology as needed.
