Laboratory Supervisor

Job Description

Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Medical Director, the Laboratory Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of laboratory personnel engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. The role ensures adherence to quality control protocols, assists in maintaining laboratory equipment, and supports the Manager in overseeing staffing, training, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
• Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Support staffing and training of laboratory personnel.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of a high school diploma; must have graduated from an MT or CLS training program approved or accredited by ABHES, CAHEA, or another organization approved by HHS.
• Must have ASCP certification.
• At least 3 years of recent lab supervisor experience.

Schedule

This position operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
