Schedule

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible start/stop time), with a requirement to work 1 weekend per month and the option to flex a day during the week.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist will be expected to float between the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and the Acute Hospital floor. The role involves working with a patient population in a 14-bed rehab unit and a 135-bed acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy interventions for patients in both rehabilitation and acute care settings.
• Manage a caseload that typically includes 5-6 rehab patients 3-5 times per week, depending on frequency and need.
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for acute care patients as needed.
• Document patient care using the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with MBSS is necessary; FEES certification and experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting is essential.
