Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Description

Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals responsible for performing diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular studies. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information critical for establishing correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic examinations in invasive and noninvasive cardiology settings.
• Collect and record subjective patient data to assist in diagnosis.
• Assist Interventional Cardiologists during procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Schedule

This position offers a 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM shift with a call commitment of one weeknight and one weekend per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or accredited Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications must be obtained and maintained.
